Chelsey Jimenez is a candidate for the Masters of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. As an undergraduate at Hope College, she majored in political science with a minor in Asian studies. While studying abroad, Jimenez studied international legal systems at SOAS University of London and worked with displaced Syrian refugees in Berlin, Germany.

Before graduate school, Jimenez worked at the Center for Refugee Services and assisted in multiple domestic political campaigns. These experiences developed her interest in community engagement, policy creation, and integration, particularly for marginalized communities.

While at LBJ, Jimenez is working for Inspire, a UT Austin program focused on empowering and developing women leaders.

Jimenez hopes to find a Policy Apprenticeship in DC focused on advocacy and community engagement.
