Cassidy Lee is a candidate for the Master of Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. She is a summa cum laude graduate in political science and Spanish from the University of Houston.

While earning her degree, Lee completed their undergraduate thesis on LGBTQ+ immigration in the United States which was recognized with the Outstanding Senior Honors Thesis Award. She previously interned for the Harris County Clerk’s Office Communications and Government Relations teams, led classes at The Houston Museum of Natural Science, and mentored incoming Honors College students.

Lee is interested in gender and sexuality policy, particularly in the context of inclusion and accessibility within educational and immigration institutions. At the LBJ School, she is further developing her data analysis skills using Python and Stata.

Lee hopes to find a Policy Apprenticeship in DC focused on gender and sexuality policy working with a research institute or advocacy organization.
