Emma Morgan

2022 LBJ DC Fellow

Emma Morgan received her Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. She is a summa cum laude graduate in sociology from Rollins College.
While earning her undergraduate degree, Morgan worked in political internships both domestically and abroad. She worked in the Arkansas governor's office on a complete state transformation project, traveled to London to continue her studies and intern for the Local Government Association. There, she learned how to run a political party office and was first exposed to policy research and development at a national level.
At LBJ, she will take an elective course specific to education policy and wants to research the impact of urban development on access to special education programs. Her passion is in special education policy development, particularly in the context of increasing access to special education programs.
