Philip Romike is a candidate for the Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. He earned his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from The University of Texas at El Paso and became a licensed professional engineer in Texas.

Over the past decade, Romike has worked as an engineer for the Department of the Army's Installation Management Command and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). While developing and reviewing technical documentation, he became interested in federal/state procurement and contracting policy.

Experienced at other levels of government, Romike secured an internship with the City of Austin's Department of Homeland Security in their Financial Management Office during his first semester at LBJ.
