2024 LBJ DC Fellow

Carlos Repetto-Ayala is a Master of Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) candidate at the LBJ School. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a dual major in environmental science and political science. 

While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Repetto-Ayala was part of the University of Texas System’s Archer Fellowship program in Washington, DC. During his time in DC, he interned at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, focusing on climate adaptation and resilience and federal climate policy. After graduation, Repetto-Ayala worked on campaigns ahead of the 2022 midterm elections in rural Kansas where he saw the effects of renewable energy policy. 

Repetto-Ayala is interested in environmental and climate policy on the international scale, particularly regarding energy use and production. He aims to find a Policy Apprenticeship in DC that leads to a career where he can contribute to energy decarbonization and policies that promote global sustainability.
