2024 LBJ DC Fellow

Robert Earl Lewis III is a candidate for the Masters in Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. He graduated with a Bachelors in agricultural business from Prairie View A&M University.

During his undergraduate studies, Lewis also worked as a part time agricultural research student focusing on the use of biotechnology for food preservation practices and hemp research. After graduation, he was accepted into the Kansas State Research Extension Fellowship Program where he worked on two projects: Kansas State University students’ views on the campus diversity climate and researching the factors that contribute to food insecurity in Texas counties.

Lewis is interested in agricultural policy, specifically global food security and agricultural research. Lewis hopes to find a policy apprenticeship in DC focused on food security and agricultural research, preferably at a think tank.
