2026 LBJ DC Fellow
Robyn Heitzman is a candidate for the Master of Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) and Larry Temple Fellow at the LBJ School. She holds a Master’s degree in Latin American Studies (Distinction) from the University of Oxford and a BA (Honors) in Politics and Spanish (First Class) from Queen Mary University of London.
Since 2016, she has supported organizations across four continents in preventing human trafficking, assisting refugees, and promoting safe and orderly migration. Most recently, she served as a Project Associate with the United Nations Migration Agency, the International Organization for Migration (IOM). She has also supported the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, Igarapé Institute, InSight Crime, and Hope for Justice. She is a recipient of the UK’s Santander Universities Impact Award, a UK-wide competition recognizing societal impact, and speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
While in the United States, Heitzman hopes to combine her studies in Latin American Studies and Global Policy with a Policy Apprenticeship with an international organization, non-profit, or think tank focused on preventing human trafficking and promoting safe, orderly migration.
