Catherine Arjet is a candidate for the Master of Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. She graduated magna cum laude from Millsaps College with a B.B.A. in English and global business. She is interested in immigration reform, particularly in the context of Central and South American immigration, as well as global trade. While earning her degree at Millsaps, Arjet studied international leadership and international finance in London and Florence. After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a writer at an immigration law firm, which encouraged her interest in that area and allowed her to observe the intricacies of the United States’s immigration system.

Arjet hopes to find a Policy Apprenticeship in Washington, DC working either on Capitol Hill (Democratic staff) or with a lobbying firm.
