DaShon Carr

2022 LBJ DC Fellow

Da’Shon Carr received her Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. She doubled majored in sociology and African and African American Studies at the University of California, Davis.
Prior to graduate school, Carr was a research assistant at Public Profit, a program evaluation and strategy consultancy in Oakland, California. In this capacity, she developed expertise in culturally responsive and equitable evaluation practices to empower communities and create social impact.
Carr is a CONNECT fellow through the LBJ School’s RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service, where she’s working with nonprofit organizations to strengthen their capacity in evaluation and data analysis. She is also a graduate research assistant at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work's Texas Institute for Child and Family Wellbeing (TXICFW) Center, where she supports research to help improve the quality and access to child care.
