Hone, Caitlin

2016 LBJ DC Fellow

Caitlin Hone received her Master of Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. She graduated in three years from The Ohio State University, where she earned degrees in international political science and anthropology and was a member of the university’s Honors College. She is interested in international development, particularly in the context of gender and social inclusion. Prior to graduate school, Caitlin served for more than two years with the Peace Corps in Guinea, West Africa, where she developed her French language skills and her interest in the importance of girls’ and women’s health and education in the developing world. In Austin, she took an elective course in NGO Project Design and Development to build upon her existing knowledge and expertise with international development theory and grant writing.
Caitlin undertook her 2016 Policy Apprenticeship at the Wilson Center for International Scholars, Global Women’s Leadership Initiative.
