Kelley Lane

2018 LBJ DC Fellow

Kelley Lane received her Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. She earned baccalaureate degrees in international relations and studio art from Hendrix College. As an undergraduate, she served as assistant to the program director at the Clinton School of Public Service, interned for a strategic marketing firm designing materials for the federal government in Washington DC, and spent some time in Nepal as a research assistant for a socially conscious business that assisted economically disadvantaged women. After graduation, Kelley worked as a graphic designer in advertising firms before being named creative director for Arkansas Life Magazine, winning regional, national, and international design awards. Currently, she works as a design consultant for USAID subcontractor Winrock International, a recognized leader in U.S. and international development. Kelley also serves as a policy adviser to Code for America/Open Austin, an all-volunteer organization advocating for open government and open data.
