2025 LBJ DC Fellow

Adriel Bustillos is a candidate for the Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. He is a proud graduate of The University of Texas at Austin in Business Management and Government.

Bustillos is an events fellow for the Mexican American School Boards Association. Prior to graduate school, he worked at the Texas House of Representatives as a legislative aide for Rep. Mary E. González. Through these unique experiences, Bustillos has grown an interest in the impact of education and local governments on our workers.

Bustillos is interested in workforce development, labor and economic development policy, particularly in the context of comparative regulatory practices in the western hemisphere. At the LBJ School, he is involved in student government, the Latino Policy Research Symposium, and CineActivism.

Bustillos hopes to find a policy apprenticeship in DC with a management consulting firm that works with government and nonprofit clients.
