2025 LBJ DC Fellow

Benjamin Taulli is a candidate for the Master of Global Policy Studies (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. A cum laude graduate in government and history from The University of Texas at Austin, he focused his studies on Eurasia and Russian language.

After graduation, Taulli was commissioned into the United States Air Force and served as an intelligence officer for four years, three of which were overseas. As an intelligence officer, he participated in everything from tactical level reconnaissance and exploitation to strategic level “advise and assist” missions between the United States and key allies. While living in Germany and Korea, Taulli renewed his interest in US diplomacy and public policy and discovered a passion for combating climate change.

At LBJ, he is a graduate research advisor at the Strauss Center for International Security and Law to evaluate the national security implications of critical minerals in the green energy transition.

Taulli hopes to find a Policy Apprenticeship in DC focused on growing private or public sector decarbonization strategies.
