2024 LBJ DC Fellow
Muhammad Qasim is a candidate for the Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. He holds a Bachelor's degree in economics and political science.
Prior to joining the LBJ School, Qasim gained extensive experience in policy analysis and project management. He managed multifaceted projects for clients including the World Bank and UNDP during his tenure at the Center for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP). His responsibilities included conducting research, stakeholder engagement, and strategy development.
At LBJ, through the Longhorn Impact Fellowship program, Qasim serves as a sustainability consultant for JUST Community, a non-profit committed to empowering minority women in Austin by fostering entrepreneurship through microfinancing initiatives. He also works as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Department of Government at the University of Texas at Austin.
