Sam Wojcicki

2018 LBJ DC Fellow

Sam Wojcicki received his Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. He is a Presidential Scholar and cum laude graduate in both chemical engineering and chemistry from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU,) with a minor in mathematics. Upon graduation, he was selected by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIP) as a James C. Gaither Junior Fellow, becoming VCU’s first student to achieve that honor. During his fellowship at CEIP, Sam served in the energy and climate program, where he studied relative climate impacts, carbon pricing, and transparency within the oil sector. He also participated in educational briefings with staffers at the White House and Congress, oil & gas industry leaders, and members of the environmental NGO community.
