Tyler Adams is a candidate for the Master of Public Affairs (DC Concentration) at the LBJ School. He graduated magna cum laude in mathematics and economics with a minor in business administration as an undergraduate at Georgetown University. He is specifically interested in health policy and the legislative process. Prior to graduate school, Adams worked as a senior analyst in Citi’s Not-for-Profit Healthcare Investment Banking group, which developed his interest in the health care industry. At the LBJ School, he is taking “The Politics of Public Policy” to develop a deeper understanding of the interactions between policy and the political coalitions that affect their success, failure or modification.

Adams hopes to find a Policy Apprenticeship in Washington, DC working either on Capitol Hill in a centrist Democratic office or on a committee staff related to health care policy, or at an advocacy organization to improve his knowledge of and interest in the evolving health care policy space.
