U.S. Representative Derek Kilmer (WA-6,) Chair of the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress will deliever a keynote address. Michael Thorning, Associate Director of Governance at the Bipartisan Policy Center, will lead the discussion of Rubin's book "Building the Bloc: Intraparty Organization in the US Congress."

The Great Financial Crisis of 2007–08 has cast a long shadow on the economic and political realities we confront today, as did the Great Depression of the 1930s on the decades that followed. These economic earthquakes also upended the conventional economic thinking, particularly in the realm of macroeconomics. This event presents four new books that address various aspects of macroeconomic theory and policymaking.
